This book represents one of the most challenging origami books available. Kawahata has produced an ingenious series of designs all from a single square of paper, uncut. The majority of the book is dedicated to prehistoric creatures and the level of detail is superb - the Theropods have sharp teeth and the spines on the stegosaur’s back taper in size. The two fantasy beasts at the end are elegant and beautiful designs. The whole book represents a challenge for the experienced folder, as the models are all difficult, although the diagrams are of the highest quality. A lot of the models require large sheets of paper, preferably foil-backed, to get the level of detail required. This is an expensive and increasingly hard to find book, but if you like a challenge, it is well worth the cost.
