This is a book that every serious paper folder should have. It is a compilation of designs from both eastern and western styles and covers a vast range of topics. The book divides itself into two sections; the first section contains mostly geometric forms and unit based origami. Also present are discussions on the mathematics behind certain folds and the use of certain techniques such as Iso-area folding. The second section deals more with animal and vegetable models, ranging from fairly easy folds to a highly complicated beetle. If you already have a fairly broad selection of origami books, you may recognise some of the models here; contributions from John Montroll, David Brill and others appear in their own books published at later dates. Never-the-less, this book contains some absolute origami classics, such as the Kawasaki Rose and Brill's Horse.

This book used to be very hard to get hold of before the the latest edition came out. I would advise that you invest in a copy before aquisition again becomes difficult!
