Tiger

Now, this design represented a challenge. There are already a couple of tiger designs out there which use stripes in an efficient fashion. There is Hideo Komatsu's design and John Montroll's design. I wanted to create stripes in my own way, so I came up with my own base. A frog-base at one end of a diagonal forms the head, and pleating at the other end forms the stripes in the tail. The rest of the base is an irregular collapse, with the four legs coming from the centre of the model, and the stripes all coming from the edges.
